Our beautiful and stimulating Ladybird room provides a calm, and comfortable space where babies can explore a full range of sensory and tactile experiences with natural objects to touch, listen to, taste and smell. The child sized furniture and resources is attractively organised so that the babies can see and learn about others in the group and be socially comfortable. The children can move easily from one area to another, promoting physical skills such as rolling, sitting, crawling and pulling themselves up.
We feel it is vital that each child in our playrooms has a continuous routine which reflects their home life. We therefore encourage Parents and Carers to advise us of any changes in sleep pattern, physical development and feeding needs. This ensures that the transition between home life and nursery life goes as smoothly as possible. The room has patio doors with direct access to a secure outdoor environment, babies will be able to explore the natural world around them.
Over 30 Years Experience in the childcare & development sector
Our inspiring and lovely Butterfly room provides a space where children can feel settled, happy and promotes opportunity for development and learning. The environment is arranged so children can move around with ease, by pulling themselves up, cruising around furniture and learning to walk. The children have a variety of resource that are made attractive and accessible, encouraging them to make choices about where and how they play.
Our staff are responsive to babies every changing routines and will adapt this to suit how individuals likes to be fed, be changed and to rest throughout the day. The room opens out onto a secure area of the nursery garden where the children can get fresh air every day. The garden has a range of ride on toys, climbing frame, swings and other open-ended resources.
Purpose built play areas to capture your child’s interests
The under 3 age groups endorses the Pre-Birth to Three: Positive Outcomes for Scotland’s Children and Families approach which leads to the highest quality provision for all babies and children in their very earliest years. In our bright and exciting Sunshine room, we nurture your child through the transition of being reliant on an adult to the desire for independence and give children opportunities to play in groups. This encourages a growing awareness of playing alongside and together with friends. We will focus and build on their recognition of emotions such as feeling happy, sad, frustrated and will calmly support them in coping with these on a daily basis.
Staff will work directly with the children to highlight a growing awareness of the need for simple rules and being able to respond to basic structures such as: preparing snack and getting ready to go outside. In the 2-3 room the children will have daily access to our largest garden to look at and investigate the immediate environment. We have a variety of areas which encourage the children to walk, jump, run, climb, build and learn to use trikes, bikes and scooters. At Tiny Tots Nursery we work in partnership with the local authority and can offer spaces for children who’s families are entitled to additional funding for their 2 year olds, please use our website enquiry tab to find out more.
Healthy, balanced meals & snacks provided daily
Our extensive and well-resourced Rainbow room promotes the eight curricular areas of the ‘Curriculum for Excellence’ and begins your child’s journey from nursery to school. The children have access to a wide range of interesting resources and staff who encourage children to contribute their own ideas to lead their own learning.
Activities offered allow children to play together, to reconcile differences and to begin to develop a sense of fairness. The computer, iPad and smart board gives opportunities to incorporate different technologies to enhance their knowledge. The children have daily access to our large wrap around garden area which is easily accessible with fixed climbing frame and ‘large loose parts’ resources for the children to enhance their physical development.
